
Atlanta United Announces 2020 Preseason Schedule

ATLANTA - Atlanta United today announced the club's 2020 preseason plans, highlighted by three friendlies during its training camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The club will also travel to Birmingham, Alabama and Guadalajara, Mexico in February.
The team will open training at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground on Monday, Jan. 13. It will depart for Bradenton a week later, where the club will have a two-week camp that includes three matches. Atlanta will play MLS clubs New York Red Bulls (Jan. 24) and Philadelphia Union (Jan. 29) before finishing against Swedish club IF Elfsborg (Feb. 1).
After returning to Atlanta, the club will again train in Marietta for one week before departing for Birmingham for a preseason match against Legion FC (Feb. 8). As previously announced, that match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (CST) at BBVA Field. The club's final preseason preparations will be held in Guadalajara.
Upon returning to Atlanta, the club will begin preparation for the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League (SCCL), where it will open against Motagua (Honduras) on Feb. 18. The return leg is scheduled for the following week, to be played at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw.
