Asheville Wins Third Straight

(Savannah, GA) - Scott Robinson broke a 1-1 tie with the a three-run double in the 7th inning giving the Tourists a 4-1 win over Savannah on Tuesday night. Dan Houston (3-6) picked up the win to keep Asheville (4-1, 30-44) in first place in the SAL Southern Division for one more day. Beau Seabury picked up three hits and an RBI while Adam Jorgenson earned his 13th save with a scoreless 9th inning. The 13 saves places Jorgensen 2nd in the league behind Pat Venditte of Charleston.

Savannah took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Wilmer Flores doubled home Jefry Marte from first base. Josh Satin singled with two outs and Stefan Welch walked to load up the bases. Houston then picked up a groundball to end the threat. Savannah had the bases loaded twice on Tuesday and could not score, stranding 11 in the game.

Beau Seabury tied up the game 1-1 with a single in the fifth inning. Seabury dove in Kiel Roling with his first of three hits off Chris Schwinden. Asheville took the lead with the bases loaded in the seventh inning on a Scott Robinson double. Robinson smacked a fly ball to right center with two outs plating Roling, Seabury and Andrew Goff putting Houston in position to win.

Houston struck out six and walked three in his third win of the season. The Tourists have now won three straight and are 6-3 against Savannah this season. Jonathan Aristil (0-4, 5.08) will take the ball in game two of the series on Wednesday beginning at 7:05. Savannah will counted with LHP Robert Carson (5-5, 2.39) .
