
Arredondo Activated from Disabled List

SALT LAKE CITY (July 8, 2009) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has activated right-handed pitcher Jose Arredondo from the Disabled List. He rejoins the Bees for tonight's home game against the Colorado Spring Sky Sox.
Arredondo, 25, was placed on the Disabled List on June 25 with a right ulnar collateral ligament sprain. He has appeared in six games for the Bees in 2009, registering a 1.35 ERA with seven strikeouts. In 25 games for the Angels this season, he owns a 1-3 record with a 5.55 ERA and 27 strikeouts. The Dominican Republic native was signed by the Angels as a nondrafted free agent in 2002.
