SALT LAKE CITY (July 8, 2009) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has released right-handed pitcher David Austen.

Austen, 28, has appeared in 10 games (eight starts) for the Bees in 2009, owning a 2-5 record and 7.17 ERA with 20 strikeouts. The St. Petersburg, Fla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 15th round of the 2003 draft.
