CORPUS CHRISTI - Blair Henley fired six innings of one-run ball as the Hooks, defending Whataburger Field as the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits, beat San Antonio, 4-3, Wednesday night.

Corpus Christi has won the last three games thanks in large part to a 1.67 team ERA.

Missions lefty Daniel Camarena turned in a quality start, but allowed the first three to reach in the second. Colin Barber opened with a single to left. Chad Stevens followed with a walk while Luis Aviles Jr. clubbed an RBI double to left-center. J.C. Correa and Garrett Wolforth both contributed sac flies as CC built a 3-0 lead.

The lone marker allowed by Henley came on a two-out knock in the third. The Texas Longhorn authored his longest start of the year, scattering three hits and two walks while striking out five.

With a tough-luck, no-decision, Henley owns a 2.38 ERA in his last five games (three starts).

Ray Gaither, who spun a 1-2-3 seventh, permitted two unearned runs in the eighth as the Missions leveled the score at 3.

Drew Gilbert made it to second to start the home eighth via pop-fly double that landed between the left fielder and shortstop. Joey Loperfido cracked a sharp grounder down the first base line to advance the runner, setting up Zach Daniels' game-winning sac fly.

Cesar Gomez earned his second save with a perfect ninth.
