
Frisco Drops Midland in Front of Largest Fourth of July Crowd in Franchise History

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders welcomed the second largest crowd in franchise history on Tuesday night with 12,045 fans packing sold-out Riders Field in a 6-3 win against the Midland RockHounds.
The standing-room-only sellout was the second largest in the 20-year history of the RoughRiders, trailing only the 12,067 fans that turned out to Riders Field on July 20, 2018 for Dude Perfect Night. It was the largest Fourth of July crowd in Riders' history as well, breaking the previous record of 11,876 on July 4th, 2015.

The Riders trailed 2-1 into the sixth inning when Luisangel Acuña plated two runs with a go-ahead, two-run single to center field to give Frisco a 3-2 lead. The RoughRiders then added on with two more runs in the seventh and another in the eighth before Antoine Kelly recorded his sixth save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth inning to secure the 6-3 win.
It was the RoughRiders' third victory in a row and moved them to 4-3 to start the second half of the season.
