
Argos Zach Collaros & Andre Durie Named CFL Players of the Week

Calgary, AB - In a game that saw the Toronto Argonauts move to a league best 5-1 on the road and solidify their hold on first place in the East Division, two members of the Double Blue earned CFL Player of the Week honours for their performances in their 33-27 victory over the Calgary Stampeders. QB Zach Collaros has been named CFL Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career, and SB Andre Durie takes home CFL Canadian Player of the Week honours for the fifth time in his career.
Collaros led another exciting comeback in a hostile environment. He finished the evening completing 25 of 36 pass attempts for 330 yards and a single-game career-high four touchdowns, and also added four rushes for 20 yards. The former Cincinnati Bearcat completed passes to seven different receivers and threw all four of his touchdowns to four different teammates. In the Argos ' last three game s, all victories, Collaros has completed 73 of 108 pass attempts for 891 yards, 7 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions.
Andre Durie led all receivers in Calgary with 9 receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown, his second score of 2013. Utilized in both the slot and in the backfield, Durie finished the day with 81 total yards from scrimmage. The product of Mississauga, Ontario, now leads the entire CFL in receptions with 69, and leads his team (fifth in the CFL) with 733 yards. Durie, who is first in the CFL in yards after the catch (543),is well on his way to eclipsing his career high in receptions (70) and receiving yards (842), both of which were recorded during the 2012 season.
The Argos (8-4) wrap up their four-game road trip with a meeting against the Edmonton Eskimos this Saturday, September 28 at Commonwealth Stadium at 9:00 p.m. ET. The Boatmen will then head home to take on rival Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday, October 4 at 7:00 p.m. ET for the first game in a crucial home-and-home series.
