ARGOS SELECT OL MASON WOODS 10th OVERALL IN 2017 CFL DRAFT

TORONTO - With the tenth overall pick in the 2017 CFL Draft, the Toronto Argonauts have selected offensive lineman Mason Woods.

Woods, a 6-8, 324-pound native of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, played 37 games, starting in 34 consecutive, in four seasons at the University of Idaho. He helped the Vandals have one of the most productive offenses in the Sun Belt Conference and finish in the top 20-percent of the FBS.

Woods was ranked eighth in the final CFL Scouting Bureau released on May 5 following his performance at the CFL Combine in March.

"Getting Mason at the size that he is, he is still going to mature into a fine football player," said Argonauts General Manager Jim Popp. "He has played three years of major college football and has played against a lot of great talent which will make it an easier transition to come in as a pro athlete."

Toronto has five picks remaining, including the 19th, 27th, 36th, 54th, and 63th selections in this year's draft.
