EVERETT, Wash. - The AquaSox allowed three runs in the sixth and couldn't retake the lead in a 5-4 loss to the Tri-City Dust Devils on Thursday, Aug. 6, at Everett Memorial Stadium. Everett was led by Drew Jackson's 2-for-3 night with two runs scored, a double and two walks.

Jackson put the Frogs out to an early 1-0 lead in the first. He singled, stole second, and was moved over to third on Braden Bishop's sacrifice bunt before Yojhan Quevedo's sac fly brought him home.

Tri-City got two in the top of the second with a home run and an RBI single, but Everett retook the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Jackson doubled to lead off the inning and moved to third on another sac bunt by Bishop. Quevedo ripped a triple off of the wall in center, catching the defense out of position and scoring Jackson. Quevedo later scored on a wild pitch.

But the Dust Devils came back in the very next frame again thanks to two leadoff walks. They took a 5-3 lead, which even Ryan Uhl's second home run of the year couldn't help the Frogs overcome.

Matt Clancy was very effective in relief, going three innings with no hits, no walks and five strikeouts for Everett. His ERA now sits at 0.95 for the season. Erick Mejia was 1 for 4 with a double and two stolen bases.

The AquaSox continue this three-game set with Tri-City at 7:05 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Everett Memorial Stadium. It will be the Frogs' Star Wars Night, featuring live lightsaber performances and an auction of the team's game-worn Stormtrooper jerseys. Tickets are available at aquasox.com/tickets and in the front office at 3802 Broadway in Everett.
