AppleSox Welcome Bluejackets
June 20, 2013 - West Coast League (WCL)
Wenatchee AppleSox News Release
The AppleSox will return to Wenatchee for a 3-game series with the Kitsap BlueJackets June 21st-23rd. This will be the BlueJackets first and only visit to Wenatchee this season. Both Friday and Saturday's games will start at 7:05, with Sunday's first pitch coming at 6:05.
The BlueJackets currently sit in last place in the West Coast League's Southern Division, and have lost 6 of their last 7 games including a 14-3 drubbing at the hands of Bend last night.
Friday, Weinstein Beverage Company brings you "EZ's Drive-In Night". Then on Saturday it's "Cashmere Night" brought to you by Country Boys, Aplets & Cotlets and KOHO Radio. Don't forget Sunday the game starts at 6:05, and it's time to break out the golf wear as Wenatchee Golf & Country Club brings you Golf at the Ballpark.
The AppleSox are currently wrapping up their second road series of the season in Walla Walla. The first game with the Sweets ended in a 2-0 AppleSox loss, leaving Wenatchee in search of their first road win of the season. Heavy rain overnight after Tuesday's loss washed away any chance of baseball on Wednesday.
A doubleheader has been scheduled for Thursday (6/20). Game 1 will start at 3:05 with game 2 following at approximately 6:05. Both games will be shortened to 7 innings, which is standard WCL policy for a doubleheader.
