Anything for Hockey: Riley Dunda

December 14, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release

In May of 2014, Riley Dunda, brother of Attack forward Liam Dunda, suffered a devestating stroke. Now, he is helping pave the way for all those who have endured the same trauma as him.

Riley Dunda is the epitome of Never Say Never. Riley Dunda will do #AnythingForHockey

In the words of his mother Linda;

"This video was created for the 2015 Molson Canadian #anythingforhockey contest. The ultimate prize to skate on the ice surface on top of a skyscraper. This video is the journey of our son Riley Dunda. He suffered a massive stroke last May 2014 at the 19. At the time of the stroke he could not eat, speak very well, walk and not move his hand/arm. A devastating blow for a Junior A hockey player. He is not the only one who has suffered a stroke at such a young age here in Canada. Please take the time to watch this video and see what it means to say: "never say never" to play or be part of that hockey dream again. Hopefully, Molson's will give a chance to some well deserving young stroke survivors to lace up their skates and play a bit of shinny on the ultimate ice surface."
