
Antonio Carrera, Nolan Norris Named to 2023 United States Pan American Team

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas Homegrowns Antonio Carrera and Nolan Norris have been named to the 2023 U.S. Pan American squad to be celebrated in Santiago, Chile from October 22 - November 5, 2023, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee announced this week.
The defensive duo are set to compete against the best countries in North, Central and South America, matching up against Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico and Uruguay.
Carrera signed as the 33rd Homegrown in club history on Feb. 21, 2022 and made his professional debut on March 26, 2022. Carrera is the starting goalkeeper for North Texas SC, featuring for the MLS NEXT Pro side 35 times in two seasons. Carrera has registered three clean sheets this season allowing 29 goals, making 71 saves and recording a 71% save rate. Carrera represented the United States in the U-20 World Cup earlier this year.
Norris signed as the 35th FC Dallas Homegrown on Nov. 16, 2022. He made his professional debut with North Texas SC in the 1-0 win against Earthquakes II on April 17, 2022. Norris made his Major League Soccer debut on June 1, 2023, against Sporting Kansas City. A constant figure with North Texas SC, Norris has featured 23 times for the MLS NEXT Pro side in two seasons. Norris was part of the U.S. U-19 team that won the Slovenia Nations Cup in September 2022.
ABOUT THE PAN AMERICAN GAMES
The Pan American and Parapan American Games are the largest multi-sport event in the Americas. The Games are held every four years and precede the Olympic and Paralympic Games by one year. Chile will serve as the host country for the first time in its history. Team USA will compete in 43 sports with 631 total athletes and 93 Olympians.
