Anthony Guadagnolo is Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week

The Owen Sound Attack has named overage goaltender Anthony Guadagnolo the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the Week of January 15 to 21, 2007.

The sign of a quality player is how they react to adversity and this past week Anthony Guadagnolo reacted in a great way. After being replaced by Neil Conway for the third period in Guelph on Friday night, Guadagnolo was almost unbeatable for the rest of the weekend against two of the top teams in the Western Conference.

On Saturday night in Owen Sound, Guadagnolo stopped 25 of 26 shots and then 3 of 4 shooters in the shootout for a 2-1 win over the Guelph Storm.

Then came right back on Sunday afternoon against the Saginaw Spirit and stopped 20 of 22 shots for a 3-2 victory. Anthony Guadagnolo finished the weekend with a .924 Save Percentage and a 2.40 Goals Against Average with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss.
