Another familiar face back for training camp
March 14, 2005 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Toronto Argonauts News Release
Mississauga â The faces at the Toronto Argonauts' 2005 training camp will be very familiar as the entire Grey Cup winning team is returning. Now, another recognizable face will re-join his former teammates. Wide receiver Lal Knight is set to head north from his native California to fight to regain the spot that was once his among the Double Blue receiving corps. In 2003, Knight dressed for all 18 games, making 27 catches for 580 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also served as a regular on special teams. However, Knight found himself cut during 2004 training camp when he narrowly lost his position to newcomers including Robert Baker and R. Jay Soward. A friend to many Argo players, Knight's return should make for a very interesting 2005 training camp.
