(Trenton, NJ)-Vince Faison's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth capped a two-run rally to give the Thunder a 4-3 win over Binghamton on Monday. It was the second straight day with a "walkoff" win for the Thunder and their seventh of the season.

The early story was Thunder starter Tyler Clippard. The 20-year-old carried a "perfect" game through seven innings, retiring the first 21 batters of the afternoon. Binghamton 1B Michel Abreu broke that up with a single to start the 8th Inning.

Trenton had their own issues with Binghamton starter Miguel Pinango. The lefty blanked the Thunder over the first five innings on two hits. Trenton (25-25) took a 2-0 lead in the 6th Inning on a two-run homer by DH Randy Ruiz, his 6th of the season. Binghamton (21-30) came back to take a 3-2 lead in the eighth off Clippard after snapping the perfect game bid. 1B Andy Wilson followed up Abreu's hit with a two-run homer to tie the game. LF Ray Navarette added a two-run double later in the inning for the lead. Clippard got a no-decision allowing three runs (two earned) in seven innings. He struck out eight with no walks.

In the ninth, SS Felix Escalona singled with one out off reliever Robert Paulk. 3B Kevin Howard drew a walk. CF Justin Christian singled home Escalona with the tying run. Faison then lined a ball over the head of Mets CF John Slack for the game-winner. The win went to Trenton's J.B. Cox (2-2) who tossed two scoreless innings. Paulk (1-2) suffered the defeat allowing two runs in 1/3 inning.

Now at .500 after starting the season 0-10, the Thunder begin a four-game series in Portland, ME against the Sea Dogs. Jeff Karstens (1-0, 2.18) goes for the Thunder in the series opener against Portland's Phil Seibel (1-3, 1.80).
