
Angels Recall Bourjos

SALT LAKE CITY (August 3, 2010) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled outfielder Peter Bourjos from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Bourjos, 23, has appeared in 102 games for the Bees in 2010, hitting .314 with 13 doubles, 12 triples, 13 home runs, 52 RBI and 27 stolen bases. He leads the Bees in both triples and stolen bases, while he leads the Pacific Coast League in triples and is fourth in stolen bases. Bourjos also recorded 56 hits and 37 runs in 28 games in July, setting a PCL record for both categories in a single month since 2005. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 10th round of the 2005 draft. His first appearance with the Angels will be his major league debut.
