Andrew Peeke Named to USHL All-Rookie 1st Team

The USHL has named Green Bay Gamblers defenseman Andrew Peeke to the 2015-16 USHL All-Rookie First Team as determined by a vote of league general managers.

The 18-year old Peeke finished 11th in rookie scoring with 30 points (4 G, 26 A). His 30 points was second for rookie defensemen. The 26 assists were fifth among all rookies and second among all first-year defensemen behind only Jacob Bryson. The Parkland, FL native helped the Gamblers to a 37-16-4-3 record and the number two seed in the Eastern Conference. He had a four-game point streak from March 26th to April 3rd, and he also played in both the World Junior A Challenge as well as the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, where he pick up an assist. Prior to his time in Green Bay, Peeke played for Selects Hockey Academy. He is currently ranked 57th on the NHL Central Scouting North American Skater List, and is a prospect for the 2016 NHL Draft. Peeke is committed to the University of Notre Dame.

The USHL All-Rookie Teams recognize the top players who were born after September 15, 1997, with less than 10 games USHL experience in any prior season.
