
Collin Adams Named to All-Rookie First Team

CHICAGO, ILL - The United States Hockey League announced today that forward Collin Adams of the Muskegon Lumberjacks has been named to the All-Rookie First Team. Adams becomes the third Lumberjacks rookie to be named to the first team, after Nick Seeler during the 2011-2012 season, and Michael Brodzinski during the 2012-2013 season. The USHL All-Rookie Team recognizes the top players who were born after September 15, 1997, with less than 10 games USHL experience in any prior season.

Forward - Cameron Morrison (Youngstown Phantoms)
Forward - Collin Adams (Muskegon Lumberjacks)
Forward - Eeli Tolvanen (Sioux City Musketeers)
Defense - Andrew Peeke (Green Bay Gamblers)
Defense - Jacob Bryson (Omaha Lancers)
Goaltender - Ryan Edquist (Madison Capitols)
Adams becomes the first Lumberjacks forward to be named to the team following a breakout season. He finished second on the team in scoring, behind the USHL Player of the Year Rem Pitlick, with 27 goals and 34 assists in 59 games. He finished in tied for 5th in the USHL Scoring Race, and second in the USHL Rookie Scoring Race, behind USHL Rookie of the Year, Cameron Morrison.
Adams led all rookies in power play scoring with 12 goals and 10 assists for a total of 22 points, and finished second among rookies in points per game with 1.03. Adams registered a multi-point game on twenty separate occasions, including his first Career USHL hat trick during the final game of the season against the Des Moines Buccaneers.
During a 14 game stretch, Adams registered at least one point in 12 games, while accumulating nine goals and eight assists during that span. Adams finished the year with at least one point in 40 of the 59 games he played in.
Adams currently has 61 points in 63 career USHL games, and was the Muskegon Lumberjacks 2014 Phase One, fourth round pick, after playing for Honeybaked in southeast Detroit. Following his junior hockey career, Adams is committed to the University of North Dakota.
