
Amile Jefferson Breaks NBA G League Single Season Double Double Record in Wolves Season Finale

Ontario, Calif - Amile Jefferson recorded his league-leading 36th double-double this season, setting a new NBA G League record as the Iowa Wolves (24-26) lost 117-105 to the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (23-27) in the team's season finale on the road Saturday night.
The former Duke Blue Devil finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and four assists on the evening.
Jefferson beat the previous mark of 35 double-doubles set by former Iowa Energy player Willie Reed during the 2014-15 season.
Iowa came out of the gates quickly in tonight's contest, shooting 50.0% from the field in the first half while leading by as many as 24 points.
The Clippers would come back in a fury however, outscoring the Wolves 72-47 in the second half to win its third straight game to close out the season.
Minnesota Timberwolves first round draft pick Justin Patton recorded a season-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting. The Creighton alum also added nine rebounds, three assists and two steals to his final line.
Despite the loss, the Wolves shot above its season averages from the field and three-point line, shooting 47.1% and 40.7% respectively.
Melo Trimble added 19 points, three rebounds and four assists while shooting 7-of-11 from the field.
Affiliate player Shawne Williams finished the 2017-18 campaign with back-to-back games scoring in double figures. The former first round draft pick came off the bench to score 13 points while sinking a team-high three three-pointers.
C.J. Williams stole the show for the Clippers, finishing with a game-high 36 points along with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. The two-way guard finished with a game-high six three-pointers.
Ike Iroegbu came off the bench to score 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting for Ontario.
With the loss, Iowa finished just shy of a .500 record on the season but made a strong showing in the team's final two weeks, going 5-2 in its final seven games.
