PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Phoenix Suns announced Sunday that they have recalled forward/center Alan Williams from the Northern Arizona Suns.
"Big Sauce" averaged 16.0 points on 46.8 percent shooting, 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 23.4 minutes per game in three contests for the NAZ Suns. This marked his third career assignment to the NBA G League, his second of the season.
Williams was Northern Arizona's leading scorer in their season finale last night, recording 25 points on 11-of-20 shooting, 12 rebounds and three blocks in 26 minutes. Williams completed a go-ahead and-1 with 18.4 seconds left in overtime to give the Suns the lead for good in their 141-137 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
The NAZ Suns went 2-1 with Williams, as he scored 10+ points twice, earning his first career double-double in the NBA G League last night.
Williams underwent a meniscus repair of his right knee on Sept. 25. He made his season debut on March 21 vs. the Texas Legends, tallying nine points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes.
The 24-year-old returns to the Phoenix Suns, where he has averaged 6.6 points and 5.8 rebounds in 57 career games.
The Phoenix Suns next play tomorrow against the Boston Celtics at 7 p.m. PT at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
