Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced that goaltender Bujar Amidovski has been named the ITECH Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for the week of March 29-April 3. The announcement came earlier this afternoon from the ECHL offices in Princeton.
Amidovski, 26, went 3-1 last week with back-to-back shutouts against Toledo on Wednesday and Friday. He posted a 1.50 goals against average and a .918% save percentage after surrendering just 6 goals on 74 shots. The Toronto, ON native is 5-2-0 with 4 shutouts for the Bullies since being acquired from Dayton on March 15. For the season, Amidovski is 15-16-3 with a 2.83 goals against average and a .902% save percentage.
Amidovski is the first Bullies goaltender this season to be honored as the ITECH Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week.
Atlantic City opens the best-of-five Northern Division Semifinals against the Peoria Rivermen at 7:05PM Wednesday at Boardwalk Hall. For more information or to order tickets, call (609) 348-PUCK.
The Bullies enter the 2004 Kelly Cup Playoffs as the defending ECHL Kelly Cup Champions. They will look to become the first team to capture back-to-back championships since Toledo in 1993 and 1994. Since the Kelly Cup replaced the retired Jack Riley Cup in 1997, no team has won consecutive Kelly Cup Championships.
With the Bullies set to begin postseason, tickets for the 2004 ECHL Kelly Cup playoffs are on sale now. 13-game playoff packages start as low as $156. All unplayed game tickets can be applied toward ticket packages for the 2004-05 season. Individual playoff tickets for first round games are also on sale now, starting at $8.
