
Nailers release playoff roster

WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers will begin their 2004 Kelly Cup Playoffs on Thursday, April 8 at WesBanco Arena. Game one will begin at 7:00p.m. with game two set for Friday night at 7:30p.m.
The Nailers will face the Reading Royals in the first round of the playoffs. Reading beat the Johnstown Chiefs in a one game playoff on Monday night in Johnstown. The Royals are making their first appearance in the playoffs since the franchise moved from Columbus (OH) to Reading. This is the tenth playoff appearance in franchise history for the Nailers and first since the 1997-98 season.
The Nailers have submitted and been approved for their playoff roster by the ECHL. The Nailers are allowed to carry 20 players on their active roster plus any players that were on the injured reserve list at the end of the regular season. The Nailers roster had ten forwards, seven defensemen and three goaltenders on the active roster submitted to the ECHL, with three forwards on the IR. The Nailers playoff roster is as follows:

The first round of the 2004 Kelly Cup Playoffs will be a best of five game series. The schedule for the first round is as follows:
Game 1: Reading @ Wheeling Thursday, April 8, 7:00p.m.
Game 2: Reading @ Wheeling Friday, April 9, 7:30p.m.
Game 3: Wheeling @ Reading Saturday, April 10, 7:05p.m.
Game 4: Wheeling @ Reading Tuesday, April 13, 7:05p.m. (If necessary)
Game 5: Reading @ Wheeling Wednesday, April 14, 7:00p.m. (If necessary)
Call the Nailers ticketing department for ticket information at 234-4625 or toll free at 1-877-NAIL-TIX. Tickets begin at $12 and are sold individually or in multi-game packages. There are also group prices for groups of 20 or more.
