Amerks, Monroe County Partner for Refresh Recycling Night March 27 against Lehigh Valley

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Americans and Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced today the return of Refresh Recycling Night on Wednesday, March 27 when the Amerks take on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. For the third straight year, the Amerks have partnered with the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services to promote awareness on proper recycling habits. The game will feature ticket deals and a recycling-themed giveaway.

"Teaming-up with the Amerks is a great way to highlight the importance of recycling, which protects taxpayers and the environment by keeping unnecessary waste out of landfills," said Dinolfo. "Protecting our community's natural resources also helps support our ongoing work to attract more jobs and investment to Monroe County. I thank the Amerks for their partnership, and I invite fans to visit the Ecopark and score free tickets to the game, all while helping us keep our community beautiful!"

Fans attending the March 27 home game will receive a commemorative recycling magnet as a pregame giveaway. Additionally, any fan that brings a recyclable item to the Monroe County Ecopark on one of the following dates will receive a free ticket voucher to the Refresh Recycling Night game:

Wednesday, March 20 between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 23 between 7:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

"Refresh Recycling Night provides yet another opportunity to not only help raise awareness for improving recycling measures here in our community, but also rewards County residents for doing their part with the chance to attend next Wednesday's Amerks game."

The Ecopark is an innovative partnership between Monroe County and Waste Management.
