
Amerks Announce Second Annual Seneca Gaming Legends Series

(Rochester, NY)... For the second straight season, Rochester Americans fans have the opportunity to meet some of the greatest names in Amerks history, courtesy of the Seneca Gaming Corporation Amerks Legends Series. As part of the announcement, the Amerks also announced today that the team will hold its annual Hall of Fame induction ceremonies the night of Friday, January 28th as longtime defenseman Doug Houda and broadcaster Don Stevens take their rightful place in Amerk history as the prestigious club's Class of 2011.
"We would like to thank our partner, Seneca Gaming Corporation, for being an instrumental part of our Hall of Fame game again this year by sponsoring the Amerks Legend series and bringing back many Amerks Legends to The Blue Cross Arena for a very special day," said Amerks President Lewis Staats. "Seneca Gaming is a major corporate partner and we appreciate their support of this event and their willingness to keep the Amerks history alive for our fans."
The first installment in the six-part series features Amerks Hall of Famer Geordie Robertson on Sunday, November 21st. Robertson will sign autographs from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. prior to the Amerks' 5:05 p.m. game against the Syracuse Crunch. Other celebrities featured this season include Jody Gage, Steve Ludzik, Jim Pettie, Ted Nolan, Doug Houda and Don Stevens. Fans will have the opportunity to receive one free autograph from each celebrity for one hour prior to each game.

The Seneca Gaming Amerks Legends Series is a part of the new three-year marketing partnership and is currently in its second season. The promotion will also extend to the 2011-12 season and will feature a new lineup of appearances by former Amerks greats each year. Sunday, November 21st, at 5:05 p.m. vs. Syracuse: Geordie Robertson will be signing autographs from approximately 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Friday, December 10th, at 7:35 p.m. vs. Hamilton: Steve Ludzik will be signing autographs from approximately 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The former Amerk and NHL center will also promote his book "Been There, Done That." The book contains some stories from his days in Rochester (1989-92) and would make a great stocking stuffer.
Friday, January 14th, at 7:35 p.m. vs. Lake Erie: Jody Gage will be signing autographs from approximately 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Friday, January 28th, at 7:35 p.m. vs. Manitoba: Time frame for Doug Houda and Don Stevens to sign autographs is TBD. Hall of Fame night with formal induction ceremonies will also take place prior to the game.
Saturday, February 5th, at 7:35 p.m. vs. Toronto: Jim Pettie will be signing autographs from approximately 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Friday, February 25th, at 7:35 p.m. vs. Manitoba: Ted Nolan will be signing autographs from approximately 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The first 2,500 fans that night will also take home a customized Ted Nolan bobblehead.
