Eastern Conference

Heading into Thursday's tilt against Toronto, Adirondack is winless in nine straight games (0-8-1-0), which is tied for the longest such skid in the franchise's 15-year history... The Philadelphia Phantoms were winless in nine straight outings from Dec. 17, 2000 to Jan. 5, 2001, and again from Oct. 26, 2005 to Nov. 12, 2005... Veteran forward Denis Hamel scored three goals in his first two games with the Phantoms, including a pair on Saturday at Binghamton, where he spent six seasons as a player... Eric Wellwood, the younger brother of Kyle Wellwood, earned an NHL call-up to Philadelphia for three games last week... Thursday's contest is the start of three home games in three nights, as Adirondack will also host Norfolk and Abbotsford.

Albany is 4-1-0-0 through its first five road games but just 2-5-0-0 at the Times Union Center thus far... Overall, the Devils have lost three straight games and surrendered six goals in all three contests after not allowing more than three goals in any of their previous eight outings... Matt Anderson is riding a four-game scoring streak (4-1-5), while Vladimir Zharkov shows a point in each of his last three contests (2-2-4)... Zharkov (4-4-8) is tied for the team lead in goals along with Brad Mills (4-2-6)... Goaltender Mike McKenna is 2-3-0 on the season, and both victories have been shootout wins - on Oct. 15 vs. Hartford and on Friday at Worcester... Albany hosts Syracuse on Friday before visiting Portland on Saturday.

Just one game after posting a 5-0 shutout of Syracuse on Sunday, Binghamton dropped a 6-4 decision to Rochester on Wednesday... Rookie Bobby Butler scored in the loss and now has a goal in three straight games (5-2-7) and five of his last six (7-3-10)... Butler's 10 goals overall are tied for second in the entire AHL, and his 15 points in 13 games rank second among league rookies... Jim O'Brien (4-2-6) and rookie Colin Greening (1-5-6) each boast a four-game scoring streak for the B-Sens, and leading scorer Corey Locke (4-15-19) has a point in seven straight (3-10-13)... Binghamton visits Wilkes-Barre and Hershey this weekend, with a Saturday home game vs. Toronto in between.

Bridgeport went 1-2-0-0 in a three-games-in-three-nights stretch last weekend... The Sound Tigers were outscored 13-2 in the two losses, with a 4-1 win over Hartford wedged in between; Bridgeport then dropped a 7-1 decision to the Wolf Pack the next night... Bridgeport has managed just one goal in six of its first 12 games this season... Rookie goaltender Kevin Poulin (3-1-0) ranks third in the AHL in goals-against average (1.75) and tied for second in save percentage (.940) through four appearances... Defenseman Travis Hamonic shows an assist in three straight games (0-3-3) and four of his last five (1-4-5)... Jesse Joensuu has a point in seven of his last eight outings (3-7-10)... The Sound Tigers play in Charlotte on Thursday and Friday before returning to host Norfolk on Saturday.

Charlotte had collected a standings point in seven straight games (4-0-1-2) prior to Tuesday's 5-2 setback to Hershey... Chris Terry scored a goal in that loss, extending his scoring streak to six consecutive games (5-3-8)... Terry already has eight goals in 16 games this year (8-5-13), nearly halfway to the 17 he totaled (17-30-47) while playing all 80 games for the Albany River Rats as a rookie in 2009-10... Oskar Osala has registered a single point in five of his last six games (1-4-5), but Drayson Bowman's three-game scoring run (1-3-4) came to an end in Tuesday's loss... The Checkers' 16 games played thus far (6-7-1-2) are tied with Hartford for most in the Eastern Conference... Charlotte hosts Bridgeport on Thursday and Friday.

Hartford erupted for a season-high seven goals in a 7-1 win over Bridgeport on Sunday before suffering their second shutout of the year in a 4-0 loss to Toronto on Wednesday... It marked the eighth time in their last 11 games in which the Wolf Pack managed either one or zero goals... Sunday's win over the Sound Tigers featured a hat trick and four point game by rookie Mats Zuccarello along with a three-point effort (2-1-3) by Jeremy Williams... Rookie Kelsey Tessier snapped an 11-game goal drought by scoring his third of the year in that victory... Tim Kennedy shows five assists in four games since returning from a four-game injury absence... Hartford hosts Springfield on Saturday in its lone game of the weekend.

Hershey is 5-2-0-0 in its last seven games after beginning the season 2-2-0-1... The Bears earned a split of their first-ever visit to Charlotte this week, dropping a 4-2 decision on Sunday before taking a 5-2 victory on Tuesday... Kyle Greentree nabbed two goals in both North Carolina contests, and the first-year Bear is now riding an eight-game scoring streak overall (5-6-11)... Greentree (7-8-15) shows a point in 11 of Hershey's first 12 games of the year, with a 3-2 loss to Rochester on Oct. 16 the lone exception... The Bears have outscored opponents by a whopping 20-6 margin in the third period thus far... Hershey hosts Toronto and Binghamton this weekend, with a Saturday visit to Syracuse in between.

Manchester has been idle since dropping a 3-2 decision in Worcester on Saturday, and the Monarchs will have a chance for revenge when they host the Sharks this Friday... Manchester, which is beginning a five-game homestand, also welcomes Providence and Springfield to Verizon Wireless Arena this weekend... Second-year pro Andrei Loktionov has recorded four points (1-3-4) in three games since being assigned to Manchester by parent-club Los Angeles... Rookie goaltender Martin Jones has stopped 74 of 78 shots in three appearances thus far (2-0-0, 1.48, .949)... Manchester is 6-0-0-1 when scoring the game's first goal and 1-4-1-0 when allowing it.

Norfolk kicked off a five-game road swing with a 6-3 win at Albany on Wednesday, the Admirals' second win in as many trips to New York's capital on the season... Paul Szczechura has recorded two goals and three points in those two contests, and his six goals overall (6-6-12) are tops on the team... Admirals leading scorer Marc-Antoine Pouliot (4-14-18) has a point in 10 of his first 12 games this year... Saturday's 3-1 loss to Charlotte marked just the seventh time since Norfolk joined the AHL in 2000-01 that the Admirals played a Saturday home game the night after playing a Friday road game; Norfolk won a 3-2 shootout decision in Charlotte on Friday... The Admirals continue their trip this weekend with games at Adirondack, Bridgeport, and Worcester.

Portland will enter the weekend with a league-best 23 points through 15 games this season (11-3-1-0)... The Pirates hold a seven-point lead on Manchester atop the Atlantic Division, though the Monarchs have played two fewer games... Luke Adam, who leads the AHL with 11 goals and paces all rookies with 19 points, registered his fifth multiple-point effort of the season (1-1-2) in Wednesday's 4-2 win at Springfield... Dennis McCauley is now riding a three-game scoring streak (1-3-4), and defenseman Dennis Persson has a point in his last four games played (2-3-5)... Portland has scored first in 10 of 15 games thus far (8-2-0-0)... The Pirates host Albany on Saturday in their only game of the weekend.

Providence went 3-0-0-0 last weekend, putting together a winning streak for the first time this season... The Bruins combined for 17 goals in the three victories after totaling 18 goals in their first nine games of the season (2-5-1-1)... Jamie Arniel scored in all three contests (3-2-5), and Jordan Knackstedt (4-2-6), Joe Colborne (4-1-5), Steven Kampfer (0-5-5), and Kirk MacDonald (0-3-3) all had at least three points on the weekend as well... Colborne is riding a four-game scoring streak (5-1-6) for the B's... Providence handed division-leading Portland its first home loss of the season by taking a 5-4 overtime decision on Saturday... The Bruins host Abbotsford twice this weekend, with a Saturday trip to Manchester in between.

Springfield's four-game points streak (3-0-0-1) ended on Wednesday in a 4-2 loss to Portland... The loss dropped the Falcons to 3-4-0-0 on home ice this season, compared with a 4-1-0-1 mark on the road... Rookie defenseman John Moore's four-game scoring streak (1-4-5) came to an end in that loss, but first-year forward Matt Calvert picked up an assist to run his own scoring streak to three contests (3-1-4)... Falcons leading scorer Tom Sestito (6-8-14) has a point in six of his last seven games (3-4-7)... Ben Guite played in his 500th career AHL game on Wednesday... Springfield is 5-0-0-0 on Fridays and 2-5-0-1 on all other days... Springfield visits Hartford and Manchester this weekend.

Syracuse suffered its first shutout of the season on Sunday in a 5-0 setback at Binghamton... That loss also snapped the Crunch's points streak at four games (2-0-1-1), and Nicolas Deschamps saw his eight-game scoring streak come to an end... Sunday marked the first time this season Syracuse lost a game by more than a one-goal margin... Rookie Brandon McMillan recorded his first multiple-point game of the season on Saturday with a goal and two assists in a 4-3 win at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton... Syracuse ranks 28th in goals per game (2.33) but seventh in goals allowed per game (2.75)... The Crunch visit Albany on Friday before hosting Hershey on Saturday.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's season-opening winning streak ended at nine games on Saturday when the Pens dropped a 4-3 decision to Syracuse... After Sunday's 2-1 win at Rochester, the Penguins still own the AHL's top points percentage overall at 10-1-0-0 (.909)... Wilkes-Barre, which is a league-best 6-0-0-0 on the road, did not earn its sixth road win last season until Dec. 18 at Syracuse... Penguins teammates Dustin Jeffrey and Joe Vitale are tied for the league lead with two shorthanded goals apiece... Brett Sterling has a point in three straight games (3-1-4) since missing four contests to injury... Ryan Craig was named the Penguins' team captain on Thursday... The Pens host Binghamton on Friday and visit Worcester on Saturday.

Worcester has earned a point in four straight games (3-0-0-1) to move to 5-3-1-2 on the season overall... The Sharks boast the AHL's top-ranked penalty kill (91.2 percent) and are tied with Grand Rapids for its best power play (27.8 percent)... Defenseman Sean Sullivan has recorded a goal and an assist in two of his last three games after totaling just one helper through his first eight games in a Sharks uniform... Team leading scorer Jonathan Cheechoo (5-8-13) has a point in six of his last seven contests (3-5-8)... Reigning AHL All-Rookie goaltender Alex Stalock has won back-to-back games for the first time this season... Worcester visits Manchester on Friday before hosting East Division foes Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Norfolk to close the weekend.

Western Conference

Abbotsford makes its first of two Eastern Conference road trips on the season this weekend, visiting Providence on Friday and Sunday, and Adirondack on Saturday... The Heat later play at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton twice and at Adirondack again from Dec. 15-18... Abbotsford brings a three-game winning streak into the weekend, including back-to-back 3-2 shootout wins over Houston on Monday and Tuesday... In both games, the Heat rallied from a 2-0 regulation deficit to force overtime... Goaltender Leland Irving has been in net for all three victories of the team's current run for his first personal three-game winning streak since taking four straight from Oct. 28 to Nov. 6, 2009.

Chicago has lost three straight and five of seven (2-5-0-0), moving the Wolves under .500 overall (6-7-1-0) for the first time since dropping their season opener at San Antonio on Oct. 8... This matches the club's longest losing skid since Don Lever took over as head coach in late October of 2009; the Wolves also lost three straight from Nov. 27 to Dec. 2, 2009... Nigel Dawes has recorded five points (2-3-5) in eight games since joining Chicago from parent-club Atlanta... Jason Krog shows an assist in four of his last five games (0-5-5)... Rookie goaltender Edward Pasquale is just 2-4-0 in six appearances since beginning his season on a three-game winning streak... The Wolves visit Oklahoma City and San Antonio this weekend.

Second-year goaltender Thomas McCollum made 23 saves for his first career shutout on Wednesday, but Grand Rapids still dropped a 1-0 shootout decision to Milwaukee... It marked the first time this season that the Griffins failed to score a goal and dropped them to 1-3 in shootouts this far, including 0-3 on home ice... Grand Rapids has won five straight road games, two shy of the franchise record of seven set from Oct. 16 to Dec. 3, 2004... Chris Minard, who scored 22 goals in 40 games for Springfield last season, scored his first in 12 games as a Griffin on Sunday at Lake Erie... Cory Emmerton's career-best seven-game scoring streak (3-9-12) ended on Sunday... Grand Rapids visits Hamilton for a pair of tilts this weekend.

Hamilton suffered just its second regulation loss of the season on Wednesday, a 5-1 loss at Lake Erie, ending its nine-game points streak (6-0-1-2)... The Bulldogs' only other regulation setback was a 5-3 decision vs. Toronto on Oct. 16... David Desharnais' season-opening scoring streak has stretched to 12 games (5-11-16), and he has a goal in each of his last two outings... Yannick Weber leads all AHL defensemen with seven goals and is tied for third with 11 points in 12 games thus far... Through Wednesday, Max Pacioretty ranks fifth in the AHL with 60 shots on goal, of which three have resulted in goals... The Bulldogs host Grand Rapids twice this weekend.

Houston dropped a pair of 3-2 shootout decisions in Abbotsford earlier this week, blowing a 2-0 regulation lead in both contests... However, the Aeros now have at least a point in six straight games (4-0-0-2) on the heels of a six-game losing skid (0-5-1-0) and have moved from eighth place to fifth in the competitive West Division... Goaltender Anton Khudobin is 4-0-1 (1.74, .946) since beginning his season with three consecutive losses... Leading scorer Robbie Earl (4-5-9) recorded his first multiple-point effort of the season with a goal and an assist on Tuesday... Houston has the AHL's 27th-ranked power play (12.0 percent) but its fifth-ranked penalty kill (89.3 percent)... The Aeros conclude a four-game road swing with two contests in Peoria this weekend.

The Monsters have earned a point in the first four contests (2-0-1-1) of an eight-game homestand and in five straight games overall (3-0-1-1)... Lake Erie collected its most lopsided win of the young season on Wednesday, a 5-1 matinee triumph over Hamilton... Since surrendering six goals in a 6-3 loss to Manitoba on Oct. 29, goaltender Jason Bacashihua is 3-0-1 and has allowed just five goals on 86 shots (1.22, .942)... Ben Walter has a point in seven of his last eight games (5-5-10) after managing just one assist in his first six games of the year... Defenseman Ray Macias shows four points (2-2-4) in his last three contests... Lake Erie hosts Milwaukee twice this weekend, including a 1:00 ET face-off on Saturday afternoon.

Manitoba bounced back from a four-game winless skid (0-3-0-1) by taking back-to-back road victories at Grand Rapids (6-5) and Rockford (3-1) last weekend... Jeff Tambellini scored twice against the IceHogs and shows three points (2-1-3) in three games since being assigned from parent-club Vancouver... Rookie Jordan Schroeder, a former first-round draft pick, notched his first goal of the season on Friday at Grand Rapids, and it turned out to be the game-winner... Fellow rookie and former first-round pick Cody Hodgson is on a four-game scoring streak (4-2-6)... Eighteen different Manitoba skaters have netted at least one goal thus far... The Moose return home and welcome Rochester for a pair of games this weekend.

Milwaukee is on a season-high three-game winning streak, and goaltender Mark Dekanich has turned aside 88 of 91 shots in that span (.967), including a 35-save shutout in Wednesday's 1-0 shootout win at Grand Rapids... Dekanich currently leads all AHL goaltenders in both goals-against average (1.63) and save percentage (.941) through 10 appearances (7-1-1)... Milwaukee has been involved in four shootouts thus far and converted 11 of 20 attempts (.550), good for the AHL's fourth-best success rate... Defenseman Aaron Johnson's goal vs. Rockford on Nov. 3 was his first in the AHL since scoring for Syracuse on Feb. 22, 2006... The Admirals, currently on a franchise-record-tying 10-game road trip, visit Lake Erie for a pair of games this weekend... Milwaukee will not play at home again until Dec. 1 vs. Manitoba.

The Barons are 4-5-1-0 on home ice thus far but 5-1-0-0 away from the Cox Convention Center... Oklahoma City boasts the AHL's second-ranked penalty kill (76-for-84; 90.5 percent)... Goaltender Martin Gerber is on a personal six-game winning streak and is tied for the overall AHL lead with eight victories on the season (8-4-0, 2.60, .908)... Reigning Reebok/AHL player of the week Linus Omark has a point in six of his last seven games (7-4-11); Omark is tied for second in the AHL with 10 goals and tied for fourth with 18 points in 16 games overall... Liam Reddox has racked up five points (1-4-5) in his last two contests... Oklahoma City hosts Chicago on Friday in its only game of the weekend.

Peoria started the season on a 7-1-0-0 tear but has collected just one victory in six games since (1-4-0-1)... A second-round draft pick (34th overall) by St. Louis in 2008, rookie goaltender Jake Allen is 3-0-0 and has stopped 97 of 100 shots (1.00, .970) to begin his professional career... Rookie winger Tyler Shattock had been scoreless through 10 games before breaking out with a goal and two assists in Sunday's 5-1 win over Rockford... Graham Mink has recorded just one assist in his last seven games after starting the year with 11 points (4-7-11) in his first six outings... The Rivermen welcome Houston to town for a pair of games this weekend.

Rochester third-year pro Michal Repik is on an eight-game scoring streak (3-10-13) and continues to lead the lead in scoring with 21 points (4-17-21) in 15 games overall... Repik is coming off a 2009-10 season in which he set career highs in goals (22), assists (31), and points (53) in 60 games for the Americans... Rookie defenseman Colby Robak, has a point in five of his last six games (2-5-7), and veteran forward Bill Thomas has recorded multiple points in five of his last six (5-8-13)... The Amerks boast the AHL's third-ranked power play at 24.6 percent but have already allowed a league-high six shorthanded goals... Rochester heads north for a pair of games at Manitoba this weekend.

After scoring just one goal in back-to-back losses last weekend, Rockford scored four times in a 4-1 win over Peoria on Tuesday... When the IceHogs visit San Antonio on Thursday for the first of two against the Rampage, they'll be going for their first two-game winning streak since sweeping a two-game set at Abbotsford on Oct. 15 and 16... Rookie Jeremy Morin returned from his first NHL call-up and notched his fourth goal of the season (4-1-5) in Tuesday's victory... Ryan Potulny recorded a season-high three points (1-2-3) in that contest, snapping a personal three-game scoreless drought... Igor Makarov has recorded an assist in three of his last four games (0-3-3).

San Antonio began the season 1-2-1-0 but is 8-2-0-0 since to take over take a share of first place in the West Division at 9-4-1-0 (19 points) overall... Brett MacLean has racked up nine points (4-5-9) in his last six games, and MacLean (6-7-13) is now two points shy of Mathieu Beaudoin (8-7-15) for the team scoring lead... Beaudoin has at least one point in 11 of his first 14 games this season... Garrett Stafford ranks second among AHL defensemen with 12 points (3-9-12) in 12 games... Seven of Stafford's 12 points have come on the Rampage's sixth-ranked power play (21.4 percent)... San Antonio hosts Rockford on Thursday and Friday before welcoming Chicago to town on Sunday.

Texas halted a four-game losing skid with a 3-2 win over Chicago on Wednesday... The Stars had gotten out to a 6-2-0-0 start this season but were outscored 16-4 during the four-game slide... Francis Wathier netted a pair of goals on Wednesday, and two of his five goals this season have now been game-winners... Travis Morin has an assist in three of his last four games (0-3-3) and continues to lead the Stars in scoring with 10 points overall (4-6-10)... Greg Rallo has notched a goal in two of his last three contests after failing to score in any of his first 10 games this season... The Stars are averaging just 2.38 goals per game, fourth-fewest in the AHL... Texas is idle until hosting Chicago again on Tuesday.

Toronto was 2-6-0-0 on Oct. 30 and about to embark on a 10-game road swing, but the Marlies are 3-0-0-2 through the first five games of that stretch... Former Calder Cup champion Joey Crabb has netted a goal in three straight games (3-0-3) after totaling three points (2-1-3) in his first 10 outings, and Mike Zigomanis has racked up eight points (2-6-8) in five games since being assigned by the parent Maple Leafs... Defenseman Josh Engel shows five points (2-3-5) and a plus-3 rating through his first five AHL games of the campaign... The Marlies have recorded a shutout in two of their last three games - one apiece by James Reimer and Jussi Rynnas - with a 7-6 shootout loss at Oklahoma City in between... Toronto visits Adirondack, Hershey, and Binghamton this weekend.
