Tri-City and Seattle meet tonight for the 11th time in their 14 game season series.
The Amerians are 0-8-2-0 against the Thunderbirds so far this season.
Seattle's Jared Davidson leads head-to-head scoring with seven goals and seven assists. Marc Lajoie has scored the most goals against Seattle for the Americans with four goals and one assist.
Both teams come into tonight's game with a one game winning streak. Seattle's most recent game was against Tri-City on Tuesday when they defeated the Americans 5-1. Tri-City played in Vancouver on Wednesday as they snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 2-1 overtime win.
Tomas Suchanek held the Americans in the game on Wednesday, turning aside 35 shots, and Petr Moravec secured the extra point for Tri-City with the game-winning overtime goal. For the second night in a row, Sam Huo put the Americans on the board with a shorthanded goal. Huo now leads the Americans in short handed goals with three, two in the last two games. Vancouver followed with a power play goal on the same penalty and the game stayed tied at 1 through the remainder of regulation play. Petr Moravec scored the winning goal 1:37 into overtime. The goal was Moravec's 14th of the season and second game-winner. Ian Ferguson played hit a milestone as he played his 100th WHL game.
