Americans Host Denver Tonight

Allen, Texas- The Allen Americans host the Denver Cutthroats tonight at 7:05 pm at Allen Event Center on Allen Eagles Night.
The Americans bring the current longest winning streak in the CHL into tonight's game against Denver. Allen has rolled off five straight, including two wins in a row over the top team in the Central Hockey League, Rapid City, last weekend.
Tyler Ludwig brings a four game scoring streak into tonight's contest. He has 7 goals and one assist in his last five games. Jamie Schaafsma continues to be red hot, leading the team in points over the last 10 games with 11 points.
The Americans and Denver are tied for 3rd place in the league with 40 points each, however the Americans have a game in hand on the Cutthroats.
Bryan Pitton has made three straight starts in net, winning all three and has a 12-4-2 record this season, good for third overall in the league.
The Denver Cutthroats bring the league's top scorer into tonight's contest, Garett Bembridge with his 52 points and he leads the CHL in goals with 27.
The Americans will honor the 5A State Champions Allen Eagles Football team tonight, as Head Coach Tom Westerberg and the team captains will be on hand to drop the puck.
