December 26, 2012 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League announced today that tonight's game at Wichita has been cancelled due to unsafe driving conditions in the North Texas area.

Central Hockey League Director of Operations, Bob Hoffman, said today the league will announce a makeup date in the near future.

"Due to the unsafe driving conditions in North Texas in our attempt to make it to Wichita, we felt it was best to return to Allen," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "Our biggest concern with ice still on the roadways, was for the safety of our players and staff on the bus."

The Americans defeated the Wichita Thunder 3-2 in overtime last Saturday night at Allen Event Center. The two clubs will meet seven more times this season. Allen has a lifetime record of 11-1-2 against Wichita.

The Allen Americans will travel to Fort Worth to meet the Brahmas on Friday night at NYTEX Sports Centre, in the first of a home and home matchup. The Brahmas are at Allen Event Center this Saturday December 29th,and Quad City comes to Allen on New Year's Eve.

Tickets for both games can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or www.allenamericans.com Call 972-912-1000 for more information.
