Kennewick - The Mid-Columbia Reading Foundation was pleased to announce Monday that the Washington's Lottery Book Drive held during the Kelowna Rockets vs. Tri-City Americans game on December 17 resulted in the largest single children's book donation in the Foundation's history.

Marc Harden, Executive Director of the Mid-Columbia Reading Foundation, announced that Americans fans donated 942 children's books during last Saturday's game. "Thanks isn't an adequate word to express my appreciation," said Harden.

"We are extremely pleased with the generosity and spirit our fans have shown with this book drive," commented Brian Sandy, Chief Marketing Officer and Sr. Vice President of Business Relations. "Our fans really responded to the need to support children's literacy in the Mid-Columbia and we look forward to setting a new record with our last book drive on February 18."
