
Americans Fall 4-1 in Vancouver

The Americans fell 4-1 in a Sunday matinee game to the Giants at the Langley Events Centre.
Ty Halaburda opened scoring for the Giants late in the first period with a one-timer over the left shoulder of Americans netminder Tomas Suchanek. Vancouver held their 1-0 lead into the second period. Tri-City was out shot 15-5 through the first twenty minutes.
Reese Belton tied the game for the Ams 8:46 into the middle period as he faked out Giants center Ethan Semeniuk and scored with a wrist shot from the high slot. It was Belton's tenth goal of the season for Tri-City.
Less than four minutes later, Semeniuk netted the go-ahead, and eventual game-winning, goal for Vancouver. Tyler Thorpe and Ty Thorpe each scored in the third period to give the Giants a 4-1 final victory.
Tomas Suchanek played the full game in net, turning aside 25 of 28 shots faced.
