Americans vs Winterhawks

Start Time: 7:05 p.m. PDT

The Ams and Winterhawks will meet tonight for the fifth time in their eight game season series.

They split a home-and-home set last weekend as the Americans defeated the Winterhawks 6-1 in Kennewick and then fell 4-1 the following night in Portland.

Tri-City is 2-2-1-0 against Portland so far this season with the home team winning each game in the series so far. Tomas Suchanek has played in net for both of Tri-City's victories against the Winterhawks. Tri-City's top player against Portland has been Jake Sloan with three goals and six assists.

Tri-City wrapped up a three-in-three weekend last Sunday as they fell 4-1 in Vancouver. It was the first time the Ams have lost two straight games since late December (12/28 vs Portland, 12/30 vs Spokane). Reese Belton netted Tri-City's lone goal of the night. Czech netminder Tomas Suchanek played the full game in net, turning aside 25 of 28 shots faced. The loss ended a 12-game winning streak for Suchanek.
