The Americans took on the Seattle Thunderbirds tonight at the accesso ShoWare Center, falling 4-1. It was Tri-City's final of a four game road stretch.

Jared Davidson opened scoring for the Thunderbirds on the power play mid-way through the first period. They extended the lead early into the second frame with a shorthanded goal from Sam Popowich. The score held at 2-0 until Jordan Gustafson added an even strength goal with 8:18 remaining in the game to give Seattle a three goal lead.

Tri-City was able to get on the board in the final minutes of the game after pulling Tomas Suchanek for an extra attacker. Marc Lajoie scored, unassisted, as he knocked the puck past Thunderbirds netminder Tomas Milic to end his bid for a shutout tonight.

Henrik Rybinski went on to add an empty net goal to secure the 4-1 victory for Seattle.

Tomas Suchanek played in net for the Americans, turning aside 43 of 46 shots faced. The Americans were outshot 47-16.
