Tonight's Matchup: The Brandon Wheat Kings continue a four-game road trip through Saskatchewan and Alberta tonight in a meeting with the Medicine Hat Tigers. Brandon is 3-0-1-0 vs Medicine Hat this season but dropped a 4-3 OT decision the last trip to the Gas City.
Last Time Out 3-2 OTW @ Swift Current: Ridly Greig scored the game-winner, added an assist, and recorded a fighting major for the Gordie Howe Hat-Trick en route to a 3-2 win to open the road trip last night. Rylen Roersma and Quinn Mantei had the other BWK goals. Ethan Kruger turned aside 18 saves for his 16th win of the season.

Career First: Quinn Mantei found the back of the night for the first time in his WHL career last night. It was the first goal for Mantei since February 2nd, 2019 (1,108 days). That night, his Weyburn AA U15 Wings beat Moose Jaw. The Weyburn, SK native finished the night with a season-high five points (1G-4A).
The Rifle is Smokin: Chad Nychuk enters play tonight, riding a career-high seven-game point streak. The former Yellowhead AAA Chief has 2 goals and 10 assists in his last seven games, including a three-point night on Friday vs the Broncos. Nychuk has at least a point in 10 of his last 12 games.
Quiet Work: Nate Danielson continues to rack up points. The Red Deer, AB native has points in two-straight entering play tonight and has at least a point in all but three games since the calendar flipped to 2022. In his last 10 games, Danielson has scored four times and added nine assists for 13 points and a +9 rating.
Roster Moves: After making his WHL debut on Friday, forward Roger McQueen has been assigned to his AAA U18 club, the Saskatoon Blazers. McQueen and his Blazers teammates welcome Swift Current tonight. Meanwhile, goaltender Carson Bjarnason did not travel with the team this week due to personal reasons. 2004 born Nick Jones has been recalled from the Calgary AAA Buffalos. Jake Chiasson and Mason Ward remain out with injuries.
