Americans Announce October Award Winners

KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Americans announced today the monthly award winners for the month of October. The Sonshine Collision Services' Offensive Player, Prudential Now Rock Solid Defensive Player and Quicksilver Audio Community Leader awards are voted on by team personnel.

Sonshine Collision Services' Offensive Player of the Month

Kruise Reddick

Reddick was selected as the Offensive Player of the Month for October after collecting six goals, three assists for nine points through 12 games. Reddick, who totaled career-highs for goals and points in a month, also registered three power play goals and one game-winning goal, while recording a plus-6 rating. It is the first time Reddick has earned this award.

Prudential Now Rock Solid Defensive Player of the Month

T.J. Fast

Fast was selected as the Defensive Player of the Month for October after totaling two goals, four assists for six points through 11 games. Fast, a 2005 NHL Draft pick by the Los Angeles Kings, also tallied a short-handed goal and a game-winning goal, while amassing a plus-9 rating and 22 penalty minutes. This is the first time Fast has earned this award.

Quicksilver Audio Community Leader of the Month

Shaun Vey

Vey was selected as the Community Leader of the Month for October. The Community Leader Award is awarded to the player who has best served the greater Tri-Cities through active, meaningful community service participation. Whether making appearances at local elementary schools or helping out with the honorary captains program, this player recognizes the importance of giving back to the community.
