Americans Announce Complete Round 1 Playoff Schedule against Idaho
April 9, 2018 - ECHL (ECHL)
Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, open their first round playoff series against the Idaho Steelheads this weekend in Boise, Idaho.
The best of seven series will follow the two-three-two format, with Game 1 scheduled for this Friday night in Idaho. Allen won two of the last three matchups against the Steelheads. The Americans were 5-3-1-1 against Idaho during the regular season, with the Americans winning the only playoff matchup between the two clubs in 2016.
"We played them well this year," said Americans forward Spencer Asuchak. "There were some tight games and always exciting games for the fans. With Idaho being the Dallas Stars AA affiliate, it always brings more fans into the mix and makes for a great atmosphere. We're ready to get this series going."
