Americans Acquire Macintosh from Missouri

Allen,Texas - The Allen Americans and Head Coach & GM, Dwight Mullins announce a three-player deal today, involving the Missouri Mavericks.
The Americans send goalie Brian Mahoney-Wilson and defenseman Steve Kaunisto to the Missouri Mavericks for top young prospect, Lachlan MacIntosh.
Lachlan Macintosh, a native of Perth Andover, New Brunswick, is 5'11" and 185 pounds. The young forward played in eleven games for Missouri this season, scoring three points.
"It's always a difficult thing when you have decisions to make regarding players that are part of your team," said Americans Head Coach and General Manager Dwight Mullins. "In this case, for these particular players, it's a great opportunity for them to increase their playing time and help a great organization...In return, in MacIntosh, we get a quality forward that will be a good fit in every aspect here."
The Americans and Mavericks both joined the Central Hockey League in the 2009-2010 season, and have had a great working relationship ever since. The Americans traded goalie Charlie Effinger to Missouri two seasons ago, and earlier this year Allen acquired defenseman Joshua Hepditch from the Mavericks. Also, former American forward, Nathan O'Nabigon signed in Missouri at the beginning of the 2010-2011 season.
In another transaction, the Lake Erie Monsters, the Americans primary American Hockey League affiliate, recalled goalie James Reid.
Americans Radio Show The Allen Americans will host another edition of "Between the Pipes" Wednesday night, November 30th at Down Under Pub in the Village at Fairview from 7:00-8:00 PM. Come meet Americans goalie Marco Cousineau. Show up wearing Americans attire and get 10% off food during the show.
The Americans return to action this Friday night at NYTEX Sports Centre against the Texas Brahmas at 7:30 PM.
