A solid offensive effort from 2B Alex Fonseca and 3B Jeff Eure leads the St. Paul Saints to a huge win over the Sioux Falls Canaries. Fonseca and Eure combined to go 6-for-9 at the plate with three runs scored and five RBI. Eure was a double short of hitting for the cycle. St. Paul starting pitcher Charlie Ruud tossed a solid game en route to his seventh win of the season. Ruud allowed one unearned run on six hits in seven innings of work. With the win by the Saints and the loss by Saltdogs, St. Paul and Lincoln are now tied for first in the North Division's second half standings.

Sioux City 7, El Paso 3

HR: El-Juan Camacho (10), Eddy Rodriguez (6); SC-Alex Llanos (5), Justin Nelson (8)

A terrific game at the plate by 2B Alex Llanos helps the Sioux City Explorers get past the El Paso Diablos. Llanos on the night went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. The home run by Llanos was his fifth of the season. RF Boomer Berry and CF Dustin Jones each had two hits as well for Sioux City. Explorers starter Ryan Harris notched his second win of the season as he allowed three earned runs on seven hits in eight innings pitched. DH Juan Camacho hit his 10th home run of the year in a 2-for-4 night at the plate for El Paso.

Wichita 9, Lincoln 1

The Wichita Wingnuts rolled out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning and would cruise from there to a 9-1 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Wingnuts DH Kelly Hunt had a monster game at the plate going 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Wichita starting pitcher Richard Salazar easily earned his third win of the season. Salazar tossed five innings giving up one hit and three walks while fanning five Lincoln batters. Saltdogs LF Gavin Dickey went 2-for-4 in the losing cause.

Fort Worth 3, Shreveport-Bossier 0

A terrific pitching effort from the Fort Worth staff leads the Cats to victory over the Shreveport-Bossier Captains. Fort Worth starter Ryan Riddle along with relievers Gary Lee, Ryan Trytten and Scott Vander Weg combined on a five-hit shutout allowing only two walks while fanning 10 batters. Riddle picked up his fifth win of the year and Vander Weg his fourth save. Cats 1B John Allen went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and 3B Michael Bell had a 2-for-3 night with a run scored and a RBI.
