After allowing six runs in the top of the first inning, it didn't take long for Wichita to rebound. They scored twice in the bottom of the frame before adding five in the second to regain the lead at 7-6. And the way the Wingnuts were hitting, that put them back in business. Wingnuts 1B Kelly Hunt finished 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and five RBI, and CF Dustan Mohr added a homer in a 3-for-5 effort to help Wichita to a 10-9 win. Sioux Falls CF Beau Torbert played well in the losing effort. He was 3-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI.

Pensacola 1B Chase Burch was 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI to lead the Pelicans to a 14-5 win on the road. C Adam Deleo also had a good game, going 3-for-5 with a run scored and a RBI. Pensacola collected 13 hits as a team, which was more than enough support for starting pitcher Adam Brandenburg. Brandenburg allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings of work to earn his first win of the season.

Grand Prairie 3, Fort Worth 2 (10 innings)

After allowing Fort Worth to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Grand Prairie rebounded in the top of the 10th with a run of its own and held on for a 3-2 win. AirHogs C JB Tucker was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and a RBI to lead the offensive effort. Grand Prairie closer James Morrison allowed the tying run in the ninth, but was credited with his fourth win. AirHogs reliever Greg Krause tossed a scoreless 10th to record his first save.
