Pensacola got multi-hit performances from five hitters in an 8-3 win over Lincoln. RF Marcos Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with three RBI and DH Chase Burch went 3-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored. Randy Beam pitched six solid innings for the Pelicans to earn the win and even his record at 3-3. He allowed three runs on eight hits. The win was the third straight victory for the Pelicans. Saltdogs DH Steve Alexander belted his seventh homer of the season in the loss.

Shreveport-Bossier 17, Grand Prairie 2

HR: SHR- Jonathan Reynoso (2), Andres Rodriguez (6)

Shreveport-Bossier pounded out 20 hits as they easily handled Grand Prairie 17-2. Captains 1B Andres Rodriguez had a huge game going 4-for-5 with a homer, four RBI, and three runs scored. 3B Chris Garcia added three hits, a RBI, and three runs scored as well. Captains 2B Joe Urtuzuastegui also had three hits in the contest. Logan Williamson pitched seven innings and allowed just one earned run to move his record to 2-2 with the victory.

St. Paul 4, Wichita 0

Brandon Kintzler turned in a fine pitching performance as he went seven innings and allowed just five hits while striking out four to lead St. Paul to a 4-0 win over Wichita. Kintzler improved to an impressive 5-1 on the season with the win. The Saints hitters gave their starter an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, the last two runs coming off 3B Jeff Eure's two-run double. St. Paul 2B Tony Mansolino added two hits in the game as well.

Sioux City 8, Sioux Falls 4

HR: SC- Dustin Jones (1), Walter Young (5); SF- Cory Harris (6)

Sioux City scored six runs in the middle innings to erase an early 3-0 deficit as the Explorers doubled up Sioux Falls by the final of 8-4. Sioux City starter Michael Campbell had control issues early and gave way to the bullpen after walking six in just three innings. Four Sioux City pitchers including Charlie Benz combined to allow just one run the rest of the way. Benz was the first man out of the pen and tossed two innings to get the win. DH Walter Young and RF Dustin Jones homered for Sioux City and the Explorers put forth a balanced attack as five players had two or more hits.

El Paso 5, Ft. Worth 0

@ El Paso, TX. Time: 2:23 Attendance: 7,968

HR: None

El Paso starter David Whigham struck out eight as he pitched a complete game shutout over Ft. Worth. The Diablos righty allowed just four hits to improve to 3-0 on the season. SS Arnoldo Ponce led the way at the plate for the Diablos going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a RBI. RF Jorge Alvarez and DH Adam Hale each had two hits and Alvarez drove in two runs. Cats starter Joel Kirsten went 6 2/3 innings but took the loss to drop to 4-1 on the season.
