Fargo-Moorhead 2, Lincoln 1

Fargo-Moorhead won their fifth straight and completed a three-game sweep of Lincoln as the RedHawks edged the Saltdogs, 2-1. Designated hitter Ryan Delgado accounted for all of Fargo-Moorhead's runs with a two-run home run in the bottom of the second inning. Delgado went 2-for-4 on the afternoon. RedHawks starting pitcher Alex Caldera tossed 7 1/3 solid innings en route to this ninth win of the season. Caldera allowed an earned run on six hits with two walks and five strikeouts. For Lincoln in defeat, RF Mike Provencher had three hits.

Gary SouthShore 7, St. Paul 5 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

A two-run single by DH Adam Klein and a RBI single by CF Michael Coles plated three runs for Gary SouthShore in the sixth inning and to lift the RailCats past the St. Paul Saints, 7-5 in game one of the doubleheader. Klein, Coles and RF Mike Massaro each had two hits and combined to go 6-for-11 at plate with four runs scored and four RBI. Gary SouthShore 1B Kenny Bryant chipped in with a triple and scored a run in the second inning. RailCats reliever Marshall Schuler notched the win as he allowed an earned run in an inning of work. The victory evens Schuler's record at 1-1 on the season.
