Fargo-Moorhead 5, Sioux City 3

Sioux City registered 11 hits but couldn't topple the Fargo-Moorhead, and the Explorers lost to the RedHawks 5-3. The game was scoreless through the first three frames before Sioux City designated hitter Ray Serrano hit a solo home run in the top of the fourth. Fargo-Moorhead responded with two runs of its own in the fourth. Fargo-Moorhead added three more runs in the fifth to take a 5-2 lead against Sioux City. The Explorers scored again in the eighth inning when right fielder Kent Sakamoto hit a solo home run, but it wasn't enough to earn a victory. Jake Laber earned his sixth win of the game, allowing 10 hits, three runs and striking out eight in eight innings pitched. Designated hitter Jim Fasano was the only RedHawk to record multiple hits, and he led Fargo-Moorhead with two hits in three at-bats.

Winnipeg 11, Lincoln 2

Winnipeg led Lincoln 11-0 after eight innings on its way to an 11-2 win against the Saltdogs. The Goldeyes got in the board in the first inning when center fielder Kody Kaiser doubled and drove in Winnipeg's first run. In the bottom of the second inning, Wes Long gave Winnipeg a 5-0 lead when he hit a three-run homer. Winnipeg scored three runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings, all the while Lincoln remained scoreless. Lincoln recorded eight hits in the game, and three different Saltdogs had more than one. Catcher Pat Trettel led Lincoln with two hits and an RBI in four at-bats. Long batted in four of Winnipeg's runs, and he recorded two runs and two hits in five at-bats. Andrew Walker earned his third win of the season, allowing eight hits, two runs and striking out two in 8.1 innings pitched.

Sioux Falls 6, Gary SouthShore 2

Left fielder Hunter Jobes hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning to help fuel Sioux Falls to a 6-2 win against Gary SouthShore. The Pheasants got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when right fielder Gus Milner drove in shortstop Joe Anthonsen, and Sioux Falls took a 1-0 lead. First baseman Mike Rohde and designated hitter Toddric Johnson each batted in a run for Gary SouthShore in the top of the fourth inning, but Sioux Falls responded with three runs of its own. The Pheasants added a run in each of the fifth and eighth innings to extend their lead, and Sioux Falls recorded a total of 11 hits in the game. Four different Pheasants registered multiple hits, and Jobes led Sioux Falls with two hits, one run and three RBI in three at-bats. Barry Fowler earned his second win of the season, allowing eight hits, two runs and striking out two in six innings pitched.

Amarillo 6, Shreveport-Bossier 3

Shreveport-Bossier took a 2-0 lead against Amarillo early in the game, but Amarillo came back and beat the Captains 6-3. In the bottom of the second inning, center fielder Fehlandt Lentini hit a grand slam to give Amarillo a 4-2 lead. The Sox scored a run in each of the third and fifth innings to extend their lead, and Shreveport-Bossier scored its third run in the top of the fifth when catcher Brian Peterson doubled to left field and drove in first baseman Joe Urtuzuastegui. Designated hitter Tim Alberts led Amarillo with three hits, one run and one RBI in four at-bats. Corey Bass earned his second win of the season, allowing seven hits, three runs and striking out three in five innings pitched.

Kansas City 5, Fort Worth 1

Kansas City pitcher Matt Mitchell held Fort Worth to nine hits and just one run in eight innings pitched, and the T-Bones beat the Cats 5-1. Kansas City led 2-0 before Fort Worth scored its first and only run in the top of the sixth inning, but the T-Bones responded with a run in the bottom of the sixth and two in the seventh to extend Kansas City's lead. Fort Worth recorded 10 hits in the game, but the Cats also left 10 on base. Three different Cats registered multiple hits. Third baseman Rico Washington led the T-Bones with three hits, two RBI and two runs in four at-bats, and the T-Bones recorded a total of 12 hits in the game.
