Fargo-Moorhead 5, Winnipeg 3 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

Fargo-Moorhead scored four runs in the first inning and withstood a late Winnipeg rally to earn a 5-3 win in game one of a doubleheader. RedHawks C Phil Britton collected two RBIs with a first-inning single. Second baseman Carlo Cota also drove in a run in the first inning, finishing the game with three hits in four at-bats. Winning pitcher Jake Laber allowed only one run on four hits in five and two-thirds innings pitched. The Goldeyes cut the RedHawks lead to 5-3 in the seventh frame when LF Justin Bass knocked a two-run homer. Right-hander Griffin Bailey came in to record the final two outs and earn the save.

Winnipeg 3, Fargo-Moorhead 2 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

Winnipeg scored two runs in their last at-bat to capture a 3-2 win against Fargo-Moorhead and gain a split in the second game of a doubleheader. Goldeyes LF Justin Bass drove in the tying-run with an RBI single to right field. The next batter, SS Price Kendall, won the game for Winnipeg with an RBI single. Goldeyes pitcher Ian Thomas pitched a scoreless top of the seventh and earned the win.

Grand Prairie 2, Gary SouthShore 1

Grand Prairie starter Josh Rainwater struck out five batters and allowed only three hits in seven innings pitched to help the AirHogs edge Gary SouthShore 2-1. AirHogs 3B Greg Porter knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first, and SS Guillermo Martinez's RBI triple in the bottom of the second gave Grand Prairie a 2-0 lead after two innings. Gary SouthShore attempted to rally with two outs in the top of the ninth when CF Toddric Johnson's single drove in a run, making the score 2-1. Grand Prairie right-hander Jon Hunton held on, retiring the final batter to secure a win for the AirHogs.

St. Paul 10, Sioux Falls 3

Four different St. Paul hitters knocked in at least one RBI leading the Saints to a 10-3 win against the Sioux Falls Pheasants. St. Paul DH Ole Sheldon belted a grand slam in the bottom of the first to give the Saints an early 4-2 lead. Third baseman Jason Cooper had three hits in five at-bats with an RBI, and 2B Hector Bernal drove in two runs as well. Sioux Falls 2B Mark Shorey notched two RBIs for the Pheasants. After giving up three runs in his first two innings pitched, Jacob Schmidt went on to pitch four more scoreless innings, fanning five batters in his six innings of work.

Ft.Worth 7, Sioux City 3

Ft. Worth 3B John Allen belted two home runs and notched five RBIs, powering the Cats to a 7-3 win against the Sioux City Explorers. Allen knocked a two-run homer in the first and third inning, giving Ft. Worth a 4-1 lead after three frames. The Explorers cut the lead to 4-3 in the fifth inning with a pair of RBI doubles from SS Ryan Priddy and LF TJ Bohn. Ft. Worth pitchers Wade Mackey and Matt Sartor combined to shutout Sioux City for the rest of the game, with Sartor recording the save.

Wichita 17, Amarillo 16

Trailing Amarillo 11-9 after seven innings, the Wichita Wingnuts exploded for eight runs in the top of the eight en route to a 17-16 win. Wichita C Edwin Bellorin belted a grand slam, opening the floodgates and giving Wichita a 13-11 lead. The Wingnuts tacked on four more runs in the inning, taking a commanding 17-11 lead. The Sox rallied, scoring two in the bottom of the eighth. With the score 17-14 in the bottom of the ninth, Sox CF Fehlandt Lentini knocked in two more runs with a two-out double, cutting the lead to just one run. Wichita brought in pitcher Josh Dew to record the final out, earn the save, and preserve the 17-16 win.

Shreveport-Bossier 13, Lincoln 2

Captains catcher Brian Peterson recorded three hits in four at-bats and notched four RBIs as Shreveport-Bossier defeated Lincoln 13-2. In all, six Captains had at least one RBI. Second baseman Uriak Marquez went two for four, homered once, and had three RBIs. Pitcher Ryan DiPietro allowed only two runs in five innings pitched and earned the win.

Kansas City 11, El Paso 3

Kansas City 2B Rico Washington had three hits in five at-bats, including two doubles, and his five RBIs helped propel the T-Bones to an 11-3 win against the El Paso Diablos. Kansas City RF Ray Sadler had three RBIs and went three for five at the plate, improving his batting average to .583 on the season. T-Bones starting pitcher TJ Large struck out eight batters in six innings of work, giving up just one earned run on four hits, and earning the win.
