St. Paul 5, Fargo-Moorhead 2
Saints starter Jacob Schmidt silenced Fargo-Moorhead's bats in 5 2/3 solid innings to guide St. Paul to a 5-2 victory. Schmidt allowed just two hits over the first four innings, and surrendered just two runs in the game while striking out four. DH Ole Sheldon blasted his 12th home run to begin the scoring in the first, and the Saints roughed up Fargo-Moorhead starter Jack Frawley for three more decisive tallies in the bottom of the fifth, on an RBI double by CF Ryan Patterson, followed by a bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly. The RedHawks' only offense came when scoring single tallies in each the fifth and sixth innings, and no Fargo-Moorhead hitter registered multiple hits in the game. St. Paul reliever Tyler Walker pitched a perfect ninth to earn his second save.
