Ambres Re-Signs with Stampede

BOISE, Idaho, November 2, 2011 - Mildon Ambres (6-5, 200, Southern Nazarene) has re-signed with the NBA Development League and will report to training camp with the Idaho Stampede, which begins November 14, the organization announced today.

Ambres has played two previous seasons with the Idaho Stampede, from 2008-10. In 2009-10, Ambres played all 50 games (30 starts) and led the team in minutes (1,447) and total rebounds (405). That season he averaged 14.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game and was named the Most Improved Player in the NBA D-League, which was voted on by the league's 16 head coaches.

In 2008-09, Ambres played 45 games (4 starts) and averaged 6.5 points and 4.3 rebounds after he was selected 67th overall in the fifth round of the 2008 NBA D-League Draft.

Born Sept. 12, 1984, Ambres finished college at Southern Nazarene, of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), after transferring from Southern Mississippi and LSU prior to that. Before suiting up for the Stampede, he spent one year as a professional in Romania (2007-08).
