Indiana Mad Ants News Release

Fort Wayne, IN, (November 2, 2011) - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Manchester College announced today their collaboration on the upcoming season of the Mad Ants' Business Forum. With a focus on engaging young professionals, this partnership will strengthen the Business Forum and present new ways of building and enriching a leadership base for Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana.

"We are so excited to partner with Manchester College on the Business Forum for this year. As an advocate of continued education and professional development, Manchester fully recognizes the importance of this type of program in Northeast Indiana, and we are looking forward to having their help in getting the 2011-12 Business Forum off to a great start this fall," said Mad Ants Vice President Sarah Wladecki, the organizer of the group.

"This is a natural collaboration for Manchester and our students. The Business Forum will expand on the strong academic foundation our students receive on campus," said Manchester President Jo Young Switzer. "When they meet young professionals in these Forums, they will learn ways their college knowledge translates into the work world."

The Business Forum, in its second year, is a six-month professional development speaker series featuring prominent national and local leaders. Starting in December, members will convene once a month to hear and meet speakers from a variety of professions, including law, real estate, communications, and sports business.

With the Mad Ants' ties to the National Basketball Association, team majority owner and former AT&T Wireless Chairman and CEO John Zeglis, and other investors, the team expects to pull from some of the top minds in the country to lead the series, exposing professionals in Fort Wayne to a premier level of business knowledge and advice.

Each membership to the 2011-12 Business Forum includes access to all six monthly sessions and one floor-level season ticket for the 2011-12 Mad Ants basketball season. Forum events will take place before home games at the Coliseum in the Century Club Room on the arena level.

Individuals, organizations, schools, and businesses can purchase the $300 memberships. Businesses can choose the company membership, which gives any employee of that company the opportunity to attend a Business Forum event. The Mad Ants season tickets included in the package may be shared with employees of the business to ensure that a company makes full use of this great facet of the program. Flexible payment plans are available for all memberships.
