
Amarillo Sox to be featured on "Great Food Truck Race"

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Sox and the Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium will be featured on the Food Network's Great Food Truck Race on September 2.
The episode will be the third episode of the third season of the hit reality show, hosted by celebrity chef Tyler Florence. The show features eight food trucks from around the country and the various challenges the teams face at each location. Each location eliminates one truck from the competition.
The episode was filmed on May 18; opening day for the Sox. The teams were given the challenge of creating dishes using select ballpark foods.
The episode marks the first time the show has visited an independent league ballpark.

Wednesday, Amarillo will take on Laredo for the second game of a three-game set at 7:30. The game can be heard by visiting www.laredolemurs.com. Game time is tentative and is subject to blackout.
