
Amarillo Sox Handle AirHogs in Opener

Grand Prairie- Tuesday night served as the opener of a three-game series between the Grand Prairie AirHogs (46-42) and the Amarillo Sox at QuikTrip Park seeing the Sox take it 9-0. In the game Palmer Karr Jr. went 2-for-4 with two singles. Andres Rodriguez and Angel Flores each had a double for their only hit of the game.
Pitching in the loss was Josh Strawn (8-7) who went seven innings allowing six runs on 11 hits. Strawn struck out five Sox players through his seven innings. Jakob Cunningham allowed one run through 0.2 innings pitched and David Quinowski allowed two runs in 1.1 innings of work.
The AirHogs and Sox will be back out at QuikTrip Park for Game 2 on Wednesday night at 7:05 P.M.
