
Alvarez Reinstated From Disabled List

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that LHP Jose Alvarez has been reinstated from the disabled list to Jacksonville. This is the only move.
Alvarez, returns from the 7-day DL after starting 15 games for the Suns in 2012. Alvarez has a 3.81 ERA with a 2-4 record, 18 walks and 50 strikeouts in 82.2 innings of work. Alvarez will make a start in Sunday's contest in Pensacola, Fla.
The Suns roster is now at 24, with the maximum of 25 allowed by the Southern League.
