
Alu Drives in Two in Sens 8-2 Win over Richmond

The Senators snapped their four-game losing streak Thursday night with an 8-2 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Trailing 1-0 the Sens tied the game in the bottom of the first then took the lead for good on a home run by Wilson Garcia in the fourth. They tacked on three more in fifth and two in the sixth. Alberto Guerrero earned his second win going two innings in relief of starter Cole Henry.
Cole Henry started and pitched four strong innings. His only blemish was a leadoff home run by Shane Matheny. After that he retired twelve straight batters. Alberto Guerrero followed and earned the win going two innings and allowing a run. Andrew Lee, Matt Cronin, and Matt Brill followed with each going a scoreless frame.
The Senators pounded out ten hits in the game to go with their eight runs. Jake Alu and Brady Lindsly both had two hits along with Wilson Garcia. Mitch Longo started the game for the Sens with a leadoff double and he scored on a single off the bat of Jake Alu. Lindsly drove in two runs with his double in the sixth to break the game open.
The Senators didn't commit an error for the fourth time in five games. The win moves the Sens to within 2.5 games of the Flying Squirrels.
The Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels play game four of their six-game series Friday at 7:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:50 p.m.
