Brampton Beast News Release

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO - Daniel Altshuller made 26 saves and Artur Tianulin scored twice including the game winner as the Brampton Beast downed the Adirondack Thunder 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Adirondack Thunder made their way to the CAA Centre to take on the Beast for a Sunday afternoon showdown. For Brampton, it was their third game in three days this weekend.

Brampton got the scoring started in the first courtesy of Artur Tianulin's second of the year. The skilled Russian forward broke in all alone, deked and sent a perfect backhand past Adirondack goaltender Cam Johnson.

That goal gave the Beast a 1-0 lead at 12:41 of the first. The Beast would head into the intermission ahead 1-0 and up in shots by a score of 13-10.

Brampton would extend their lead in the second frame with a goal from David Pacan. With the Beast on the power play, Daniel Ciampini sent the puck in front of the Thunder net. The disc squirted free and was banged home by Pacan for his eighth of the year at 14:36.

Adirondack broke the shutout with a power play marker of their own at 16:23. Shane Conacher rifled the shot past Daniel Altshuller to make it 2-1.

Brampton would fight back and restore their two-goal lead with Tianulin's second of the game at 18:43. Aaron Luchuk broke in on a two-on-one and the speedy Russian found twine once again.

Brampton went into the second intermission up 3-1 and ahead in shots by a tally of 21-19.

Brampton added to their lead in the third period with a goal from Anthony Beauregard. The Quebec native followed the play and was able to stuff home the rebound at 2:57.

Brampton would finish the game with a 4-1 victory over the Thunder. Altshuller would finish the contest with 26 saves and his first win with Brampton.

Notes: Molson Three Stars 3) Pacan (BRA) 2) Altshuller (BRA) 1) Tianulin (BRA). Both Brampton and Adirondack scored one goal on the man advantage. The Beast are on the road for the next two games and will take on the Fort Wayne Komets and the Toledo Walleye on November 22nd and 23rd respectively.
